Job summary

AdvanSix is seeking a manufacturing professional in Midlothian, Virginia to operate and optimize caprolactam processing across hydrolysis, condensation, extrusion, leaching, and drying stages. The role includes overseeing utilities, maintaining quality, and following SOPs in a dynamic production environment.

The candidate will work an 8-hour rotating shift, including holidays and overtime, with emphasis on safety, teamwork, and environmental responsibility.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma/GED.
• 3+ years of manufacturing experience or an Associate’s Degree or higher in a technical or science related field.
• Must be willing and able to work an 8-hour rotating shift environment that includes holidays, weekends, and required overtime.
• Proficiency with a computer, including Word and Excel.
• Must be able to complete a background check and drug test successfully.
• Must have strong communication skills.
• Must be willing and able to work in a team environment.
• Must meet minimum physical requirements needed to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain control of the conversion of caprolactam through hydrolysis and poly condensation, extrusion, leaching, and drying, finishing into blending and packaging.
• Maintain control of multiple utility systems to support the operation areas.
• Monitor control information for an area and make adjustments as necessary to operate equipment and facilities, ensuring quality and conformance with standard operating procedures.
• Maintain safety standards at all times and initiates and follows emergency procedures when necessary.
• Responsible for preventing spills and adhering to our commitment to protect the environment
• Perform minor maintenance work
• Additional responsibilities as needed
