Job summary

AdvanSix is seeking a manufacturing operator to control the conversion of caprolactam through hydrolysis, poly condensation, extrusion, leaching and drying, finishing into blending and packaging.

The role requires 8-hour rotating shifts including holidays and weekends, 3+ years of manufacturing experience or an associate degree in a technical field, strong communication and teamwork, and the ability to work safely around hazardous materials.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of manufacturing experience or an Associate’s Degree or higher in a technical or science related field.
• Must be willing to work 8-hour rotating shift environment including holidays and weekends.
• Proficiency with a computer, including Word and Excel; ability to pass background check and drug test.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team; physical capability to perform essential functions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain control of the conversion of caprolactam through hydrolysis and poly condensation, extrusion, leaching, and drying.
• Finish into blending and packaging; monitor utility systems to support operation areas.
• Adjust controls to operate equipment while ensuring quality and SOP conformance.
• Maintain safety standards and follow emergency procedures; prevent spills and protect the environment.
• Perform minor maintenance work; adapt to additional responsibilities as needed.
