Job summary

Austin Industrial in Augusta, GA is seeking a Material Handler to support loading racks and hazardous chemical transfers. You will load/unload trucks and railcars, monitor product transfers, and document procedures using an electronic handheld device.

Hands-on role includes operating heavy equipment and ensuring safety with PPE. A valid driver's license and ability to pass background and medical screenings are required. This is a full-time, 40-hour per week position with no relocation support.

Qualifications

• Education: no minimum education requirements.
• Experience: Experience in handling Liquid and Dry products for agricultural and industrial use, preferred.
• Must pass background check, pre-employment physical including drug, hearing, vision, Pulmonary function, respirator fit test (cannot have a beard), and range of motion testing.
• Must have valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assist with loading and unloading hazardous chemicals via truck and rail.
• Handle loading/unloading of railcars and tanker trucks.
• Rehandle off-spec product and ensure product conformity.
• Monitor transfers between tanks, vessels, or pipelines.
• Operate heavy equipment including Front End Loader and Dump Truck.
• Input data on handheld device documenting procedures and load-out activities.
