Job summary

Manchester Tank & Equipment in Kentucky is seeking a Material Handler to support raw materials and finished goods, performing loading/unloading and material movement across plant and yard.

You will conduct daily safety audits, read schedules, operate forklifts, tag materials, and follow JSA/EHS procedures while maintaining dependable attendance.

The role requires a GED or high school diploma, up to 1 year related experience, and willingness to obtain Telehandler certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1 year related experience and/or training.
• Must pass forklift certification requirements.
• Must be willing to get Telehandler certification.

Responsibilities

• Completes daily safety audits on tow motor and fills out check sheets.
• Reads weekly schedule or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials to be moved.
• Operates industrial truck to assist in loading or moving materials and products throughout the work site.
• Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area.
• Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on bins, baskets, or other containers.
• Drives safely and with caution.
• Looks for opportunity to get involved in safety, environmental, process changes and overall improvement efforts.
• Follows all EHS guidelines and applicable procedures.
• Read, understand, and follow the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and EHS Work Instructions.
• Report any unsafe conditions or incidents in a timely manner to their supervisor or any member of management.
• Shut down process if unsafe.
• Follow proper machine shutdown procedures.
• Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
