Job summary

Loadstar is hiring Chemical Loaders to safely load and unload liquid hazardous materials at our site, following all procedures. Responsibilities include securing equipment, inspecting vehicles, wearing PPE, and monitoring weights to meet DOT standards.

The role requires OSHA compliance, a TWIC card, legal work status in the US, and the ability to pass drug, medical, and background checks. On-the-job training and safety are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Must follow OSHA safety standards.
• Must possess and maintain an active TWIC card and valid Driver’s License with reliable means of transportation to and from work.
• Must be 18 years old and legally able to work in the US
• Demonstrated stable work history with positive references from previous employers, indicating reliability and competence.
• Successfully pass drug screening test as well as physical and background check.

Responsibilities

• Ensure railcars and/or trucks are correctly positioned and secured at the loading rack before initiating transfer; check last product for compatibility with current operation.
• Conduct a visual inspection of the railcar/truck to identify defects or issues and ensure the vehicle is safe to load.
• Wear required PPE to ensure personal safety during transfer process.
• Connect loading equipment and transfers according to procedures using gauges, automated systems, or strapping tables.
• Monitor weight before and after transfer to comply with DOT certification requirements; prevent outages or inaccuracies.
• Maintain open communication with site leaders; promptly report problems encountered.
• Safely disconnect loading equipment and inspect for leaks or abnormalities; complete paperwork before release.
• Perform other duties as assigned to ensure safe operation of the loading facility.
