Job summary

Morrison Living is seeking a growth-minded Chef Manager to lead culinary and food service operations in a senior living community. You will manage the culinary program, drive menu development, cost controls, and inventory while emphasizing local sourcing and sustainability.

The role requires strong leadership in a contract foodservice environment and a commitment to training and quality food service for residents.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of HACCP.
• Three years of culinary management experience in contract foodservice, fine dining, or restaurant with inventory/purchasing knowledge.
• Extensive knowledge of food and catering trends with focus on quality, production, sanitation, and cost controls.
• Experience with exposition cooking is needed.
• Knowledge of P&L accountability and contract-managed service experience is desirable.
• ServSafe certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Full culinary management of food service operation including inventory, ordering and receiving.
• Knowledge of P&L accountability and contract-managed service experience is desirable.
• Proficient in menu development, cost controls, purchasing and inventory with a focus on sourcing and utilizing local food products.
• Possesses a passion for sustainability.
