Job summary

Eurest, a Compass Group division, seeks a Chef Manager to lead a high-volume corporate dining operation in Roanoke, VA. You will direct culinary and service activities, manage budgets, and drive hospitality excellence across the campus.

You will build and coach a team of 8, maintain food safety standards, and partner with client leadership to deliver exceptional dining experiences in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of direct foodservice operational management experience
• Knowledge of food and catering trends and cost controls
• P&L accountability or contract-managed services experience preferred
• Strong supervisory and coaching skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills across levels
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer/email skills

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of 8 front of house / back of house associates
• Oversee the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the account (culinary and service operations)
• Interview, hire, train, and develop associates and manage performance
• Prepare and manage the annual budget with focus on cost-effective operations
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly reports using company systems
• Oversee food and beverage preparation and service ensuring quality and safety standards
