Eurest in Roanoke, VA is seeking a Chef Manager to lead a high‑volume corporate dining operation, delivering exceptional food, service, and hospitality.

You will manage a team of 8 associates, oversee budgets, inventory, and standards (HACCP/OSHA), and drive continuous improvement across culinary and service.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of direct foodservice operational management experience, with strong inventory and purchasing knowledge.
• Deep knowledge of food and catering trends, with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
• P&L accountability or contract-managed services experience preferred.
• Strong supervisory, leadership, and coaching skills that inspire teams to do their best work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to connect across management, client, customer, and associate levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of 8 front of house / back of house associates.
• Oversee the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the account (culinary and service operations).
• Interview, hire, train, and develop associates — planning and assigning work, appraising performance, and resolving concerns with fairness and consistency.
• Prepare and manage the annual budget with a sharp eye on cost-effective, efficient operations.
• Utilize company systems to complete daily, weekly, and monthly reports, including inventory, payroll/timekeeping.
• Oversee and actively participate in food and beverage preparation and service, ensuring adherence to company standards for quality, presentation, sanitation, and safety (HACCP and OSHA compliant), along with portion control.
• Take on additional responsibilities as needed, bringing energy and flexibility to a dynamic operation.
