Job summary

DIG INN Chefs-In-Training is hiring in Philadelphia for an entry-level culinary role. Earn $16-$18/hour plus $2-3/hour in tips and enjoy additional benefits in a fast-paced, scratch-based kitchen.

You will train across stations, learn leadership skills, and contribute to a mission-driven team focused on great food and community. Flexible scheduling available; partnership with growth opportunities and paid time off.

Qualifications

• A passion for real, good food and a desire to learn culinary practices and skills.
• The ability to demonstrate a strong work ethic.
• Ability to perform physical requirements (lifting up to 25 lbs, occasionally 50 lbs).
• Good communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Prep, mix, and cook vegetables, proteins, grains using recipes and taste for validation.
• Gain exposure to multiple kitchen stations (garde manger, grill, roast, market line).
• Explain menu offerings, seasonality, and ingredients to guests to enhance their experience.
• Support team during peak and off-peak service and pitch in where needed.
• Maintain safety standards and DIG policies in daily operations.
