Emmi Roth in Wisconsin is seeking a Packaging Machine Operator who will set up, run, and sanitize packaging lines for cheese products. You will monitor weights, seals, and labeling to ensure quality while keeping safety and GMP standards.

This role requires physical stamina, ability to read work instructions, and the teamwork to meet daily production goals. Overtime may be required in busy periods, and experience with pallet jacks is a plus.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating packaging machinery in a manufacturing or food processing environment is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers.
• Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor packaging machinery, including filling, sealing, labeling, and wrapping.
• Perform routine setup, changeovers, and maintenance to ensure production quality.
• Monitor packaging process to ensure accurate weights, seals, and appearance.
• Calibrate and adjust equipment to maintain efficiency and production goals.
• Conduct quality checks and document results to meet specifications.
• Collaborate with QC and supervisors to maintain production schedules.
• Document production data and any operational issues.
• Perform sanitation duties and maintain clean packaging areas.
• Follow safety SOPs and PPE usage to ensure a safe workplace.
• Assist with moving products and loading/unloading materials using pallet jacks.
