Job summary

Maersk is seeking an CHB Operations Associate to coordinate shipments and ensure service levels daily. You will support client accounts from start to finish, expediting shipments and becoming familiar with their import programs while coordinating file processing with team members.

Responsibilities include processing customs entries, coordinating with forwarders, and handling billing, tracking, and documentation. A university degree is preferred, and a CHB license is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of CHB experience
• 6–12 months of experience in the industry
• Knowledge of Section 232 IEEPA tariff structure
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Well organized and detail oriented under pressure
• Able to multi-task and work with cross-functional teams
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience
• Customs House Brokerage License preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute shipments to meet service levels daily
• Provide customer service and assist with questions and information
• Process Customs entries and PGA for clearance of goods
• Coordinate clearance with forwarders, steamship lines, and airlines
• Complete customer billing and required reports
• Track and trace inbound shipments
• Coordinate operations for shipments from airlines/ocean piers to destination
• Ensure documentation/entry packages are uploaded into the operating system
• Maintain and update customer SOPs
