Job summary

Ford Motor Company seeks a Technical Expert (LL6) to lead global suspension system reliability and verification. You will align reliability targets across vehicle levels, develop test methods, and ensure coverage through CAE and physical testing.

The role requires a BS in Engineering and roughly a decade in chassis design with hands-on DFMEA/PFMEA experience. Travel to global centers is expected, with a strong emphasis on Six Sigma methodologies and cross-functional leadership.

Qualifications

• BS-Engineering required.
• 10 years of experience in chassis systems and architecture development.
• Extensive system and component durability validation experience.
• Experience with DFMEA/PFMEA/Control Plans and drawings-GD&T.
• Experience solving problems with 8D, 5 whys, Six Sigma, etc.
• Experience analyzing CAE and physical test outputs.

Responsibilities

• Lead global suspension system reliability and verification methods.
• Drive stress factors into specs and tests to eliminate failures.
• Coordinate durability verification with system and vehicle levels.
• Coach and mentor suspension engineers across regions.
• Sign off on System/Subsystem/Component with prior leadership approval.
• Engage with multiple Ford divisions and cross-functional teams.
