Ford Motor Company is seeking a Technical Expert (LL6) in Lincoln, NE to lead the in-house design and manufacturing process for suspension structural components including stampings, castings, and forgings. You’ll drive design for manufacturing, tooling feasibility, and process optimization while aligning with plant equipment and process capabilities.

Qualifications

• BS-Engineering required for this Technical Expert role.
• 10+ years in chassis structural design and engineering.
• Extensive experience with suspension components and DP/DFMEA

Responsibilities

• Lead design and in-house manufacturing process for suspension parts.
• Develop and maintain engineering foundation documents and interfaces.
• Manage DFMEA, PFMEA, control plans and drawings with GD&T.
• Lead design reviews for tooling feasibility and process capability.
• Coordinate design validation, DOE trials, and crash/validation steps.
• Support longitudinal data collection and capability analysis (Ppk).
• Lead root cause analysis for dimensional and manufacturing issues during launch.
