Job summary

Depot Connect International (DCI) is hiring a Chassis Mechanic in Linden, NJ. You will diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical systems on tank trailers, service and weld, and perform DOT inspections to ensure safety and compliance.

Shift is Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Pay ranges from $22.00 to $27.50 per hour based on experience, with periodic pay reviews and chances for increases.

Qualifications

• Diagnose failures and repair on mechanical or electrical systems on tank trailers.
• Perform tank service and repair.
• Install and repair trailer suspension systems.
• Work with air brake systems and repairs.
• Inspect tanks and trailers to DOT standards and complete inspections.
• Welding and fabrication experience with TIG/MIG, aluminum and stainless materials.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical or electrical systems on tank trailers.
• Perform tank service and repair tasks as needed.
• Install and repair trailer suspension systems.
• Work with air brake systems and perform related repairs.
• Conduct DOT inspections ensuring compliance.
• Welding/fabrication work with TIG/MIG on aluminum and stainless.

Chassis Mechanic – Linden, NJ

We are currently searching for a Chassis Mechanic for our Linden, NJ location!

Depot Connect International (DCI) is a global leader in the tank trailer services and tank trailer parts industry.

Shift: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Pay Range: $22.00 to $27.50 per hour, dependent on experience.

Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.

Responsibilities & Skills

• The ability to diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical or other various systems on a tank trailer.
• Tank service and repair.
• Trailer suspension installation and repair.
• Experience with air brake systems and repairs.
• Ability to effectively and efficiently inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards, complete DOT inspections.
• Welding and fabrication experience — TIG/MIG, aluminum and stainless preferred.

Physical Demands

• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• With assistance, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
• Must be able to fit through a tank trailer manhole.
