OpenTrain is recruiting for a Chart and Data Visualization AI Training Expert to create rigorous training tasks from domain-specific charts, graphs, and data visualizations. You will help improve AI reasoning by turning information-rich visual data into objectively answerable questions, accurate solutions, and detailed explanations. This contractor opportunity suits professionals who combine domain knowledge with careful quantitative analysis and precise communication.

What you will do
Interpret complex charts and graphs using accurate domain terminology. Design questions that require multi-step reasoning, calculations, comparisons, and trend analysis. Produce precise answers with step-by-step explanations of the reasoning and calculations. Account for data series, annotations, units, axes, scales, legends, confidence intervals, and time periods. Review tasks for clarity, objectivity, appropriate complexity, and unsupported conclusions. Collaborate remotely and asynchronously with coordinators and reviewers.

Required skills
A bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in medicine, finance, engineering, earth science, data science, operations, or a related quantitative field is preferred. You should have at least two years of professional, academic, or research experience working with quantitative data or domain-relevant charts. The role requires the ability to interpret charts with multiple data series, annotations, and statistical features, along with strong written and verbal English communication and the ability to explain calculations clearly. Experience creating technical assessments, benchmark questions, or structured analytical tasks is valuable. Advanced education, professional credentials, or specialized industry expertise is helpful.
