About this role

OpenTrain is recruiting for a Training and Development Specialist to design learning programs and educational materials that contribute high-quality input to next-generation AI systems. You will turn learning objectives into structured programs, digital content, activities, and assessments while applying practical expertise in instructional design and adult learning.

What you will do

You will define clear, measurable learning objectives for specific audiences; design complete learning pathways spanning objectives, modules, activities, and assessments; and create instructional materials, presentations, and digital learning resources. You will develop quizzes and rubrics that measure learner progress and achievement, collaborate with stakeholders in a remote setting to maintain clarity and alignment, revise program designs and materials in response to feedback and changing requirements, and document processes and best practices to support consistent quality and knowledge sharing.

Required skills

You should have professional expertise in training, instructional design, adult learning, or a related discipline. You should be able to connect learning outcomes with appropriate activities and assessments, develop educational content for diverse audiences in digital or remote settings, and explain complex ideas clearly in virtual environments. Strong written and verbal communication, knowledge of quizzes and rubrics, the ability to manage multiple deliverables, adaptability, and close attention to detail are important for this work.

Helpful background

Experience building a complete learning program, including its objectives, instructional content, activities, and assessment approach, is useful. A proactive, learner-centered approach and a portfolio demonstrating program development can support effective contribution. Prior AI experience is not required; the role values subject-matter expertise in learning and development.
