Qualifications

• A degree or equivalent professional experience in finance, economics, business analytics, or a related discipline.
• At least two years of professional, academic, or research experience interpreting financial market data, risk metrics, or operational performance charts.
• Advanced ability to read axes, units, legends, scales, annotations, and other chart features.

Responsibilities

• Interpret candlestick charts, yield curves, drawdown charts, market-volume charts, control charts, Pareto charts, process flows, and capacity or throughput charts.
• Draft questions that require multi-step quantitative analysis, graphical reasoning, comparisons, trend analysis, calculations, and interpolation.
• Produce unambiguous answers with clear written explanations and explicit calculations.
• Use accurate financial, economic, and operational terminology across varied chart formats.
• Create objective tasks that avoid subjective or ambiguous language.
• Incorporate feedback through effective written and verbal collaboration with remote project teams.
• Deliver consistent materials that support AI model development, training, and evaluation.

About this role

OpenTrain is recruiting for a Financial and Operations Chart Analysis Specialist to create reliable training and evaluation materials for advanced AI systems. You will interpret complex financial and operational visualizations, turn them into objective reasoning questions, and provide precise answers with comprehensive explanations and explicit analytical steps. The work combines domain expertise with structured task creation and requires careful attention to units, scales, timeframes, categories, notation, and objectively verifiable conclusions.

• Strong written and spoken English with the ability to explain quantitative reasoning clearly.
• Accurate use of financial, economic, and operational terminology.

Helpful background

Experience with technical documentation, financial reporting, process or quality assessment, or structured analytical task creation is valuable. Experience producing data annotation tasks, benchmark questions, technical reports, or deliverables for finance, operations, or AI projects is also helpful. Bilingual ability in English and another language relevant to financial or operational work is welcome.
