Job summary

Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory, NC is seeking a Charge Registered Nurse (RN) for Labor & Delivery. This full-time night position offers a $20,000 commitment-incentive bonus and centers on safe, high-quality maternal care in a team-oriented unit.

The role requires NC RN licensure, BCLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP, and experience in Labor & Delivery with LDRP exposure; Charge Nurse experience is preferred. Join a dedicated team committed to excellence in maternal care.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina RN license (single-state) or compact.
• BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP and FHN-AWHONN required.
• At least 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience.
• 3 to 5 years of LDRP experience preferred.
• Charge Nurse experience preferred.
• Mother/Baby training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs accurate patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Delivers care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
• Documents medical necessity in the medical record.
• Completes and revises the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Performs timely QI assessments.

Skills

Active NC RN license (single-state)

2+ years Labor & Delivery experience

3-5 years LDRP experience preferred

Charge Nurse experience preferred

BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, AWONN training

Mother/Baby training preferred

Education
