BayCare’s Operating Room is seeking a Charge RN with a strong OR background to support surgical teams at St. Joseph's South in Riverview, FL. The role requires at least two years of RN experience and one year in the OR, with charge responsibilities often assigned.

We value mentorship, professional standards, and collaboration within a high-performing perioperative team. Responsibilities include supervising perioperative care, acting as a role model, and guiding junior staff.

Competenze

• Shift: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday-Friday

Summary:

The Operating Room Charge RN responsibilities include:

• Proficient in the care of a sub-specialty group of patients utilizing effective managerial skills


• Acts as a professional role model for other members of the nursing team


• Is responsible for professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set forth by a nationally recognized specialty organization


• Acts as a mentor and resource expert, supports and shares organizational information to all team members


• Performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned

A minimum of two years of RN experience is required for this role. For this consideration, at least 1-year Operating Room experience as an RN is required. Charge experience is preferred. Board running experience is preferred.

Certifications and Licensures:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)


• RN (Registered Nurse)


• ACLS (Cardiovascular) if required by department


• Preferred Nurse Specialty

Education:

• Bachelor's Nursing or Bachelor's Science in related field or RN Certification in related field

Experience :

• Required includes 2 years acute care experience or 2 years Interventional/Procedural


• Preferred Experience includes 1 year Interventional/Perioperative Internship.
