Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner II for Lorain Hospital on a PRN basis. You will assess patients, plan and deliver respiratory therapies, educate patients, and monitor responses to treatments. The role includes precepting and collaborating with a care team to optimize outcomes.

Required state license and NBRC credential, with RRT preferred. EPIC EHR experience and willingness to cover varied shifts are expected; lactations and pediatric support may apply.

Qualifications

• Current Respiratory Care License in the state of employment (required).
• NBRC credentialed (required).
• RRT (preferred).
• BLS/ACLS/PALS (preferred; obtain before direct patient care).
• NRP required for select sites; CPFT/RPFT and NBRC-based credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients, plan care, implement treatment, and evaluate outcomes.
• Explain therapies to patients and adapt plans by response to care.
• Serve as shift Charge Therapist and support staffing needs.
• Document thoroughly in patient records and maintain standards.
