Lovelace Health System in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a dedicated Med/Surg Charge Nurse for night shift, full-time duties. You will oversee nursing care, manage patient flow, and coordinate with staff to uphold high standards of safety and patient experience.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate degree or Nursing Diploma with charge nurse experience; a BSN is preferred. CPR and BLS are required within 14 days of hire, and NM license eligibility is needed.

Formación

• Must have Associate’s Degree or Diploma of Nursing.
• One year of Charge Nurse experience in hospital setting OR more than one year of clinical or management experience.
• CPR and BLS certifications required within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsabilidades

• Responsible and accountable for the practice of Professional Nursing, including the nursing management of the patient and staff of assigned area in his/her charge.
• Manages efficient patient flow, appropriate use of supplies and other operational functions.
• Collaborates with the unit managers and/or directors in developing and revising unit policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Serves as departmental liaison and first line of contact with patients, providers and staff.
• Adheres to policies and procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.

Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

Job Requirements:

• Minimum: Associate’s Degree or Diploma of Nursing
• One (1) year of Charge Nurse experience in hospital setting OR more than one year of clinical or management experience.
• CPR
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Valid NM Nursing license or NM compact license (within 90 days of hire)

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Desired: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• Certification in clinical specialty
• National Certification in specialty care
