Lovelace Health System seeks a Night Shift ICU Charge Nurse in Albuquerque, NM. The role leads patient flow, staffing, and clinical operations in a busy ICU, ensuring high-quality care and adherence to policies.

Requirements include an Associate’s Degree or Diploma of Nursing, 1 year of Charge Nurse experience, CPR and BLS with timely certification, and a NM nursing license (or NM compact). This full-time position offers a sign-on bonus and relocation support.

Qualifications

• Minimum: Associate’s Degree or Diploma of Nursing.
• One (1) year of Charge Nurse experience in hospital setting OR more than one year of clinical or management experience.
• CPR;
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Valid NM Nursing license or NM compact license (within 90 days of hire).

Responsabilités

• The Charge RN is responsible and accountable for the practice of Professional Nursing, including the nursing management of the patient and staff of assigned area in his/her charge.
• Manages efficient patient flow, appropriate use of supplies and other operational functions.
• Collaborates with the unit managers and/or directors in developing and revising unit policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Serves as departmental liaison and first line of contact with patients, providers and staff.
• Adheres to policies and procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.
