Job summary

Ardent Health Services is seeking a Night Shift ICU Charge Nurse in Albuquerque, NM. This role leads nursing care for the unit, manages patient flow, and collaborates with managers to develop policies and protocols.

A current NM nursing license, CPR/BLS, and Charge Nurse experience are required. Eligible candidates may receive a sign-on bonus up to $15,000 and relocation assistance, with tuition assistance and comprehensive benefits as part of a people‑first program.

Qualifications

• Minimum: Associate’s Degree or Diploma of Nursing.
• One year of Charge Nurse experience in hospital setting OR more than one year of clinical or management experience.
• CPR;
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Valid NM Nursing license or NM compact license (within 90 days of hire).
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing; National Certification in clinical specialty care.

Responsibilities

• The Charge RN is responsible and accountable for the practice of Professional Nursing, including the nursing management of the patient and staff of assigned area in his/her charge.
• Manages efficient patient flow, appropriate use of supplies and other operational functions.
• Collaborates with the unit managers and/or directors in developing and revising unit policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Serves as departmental liaison and first line of contact with patients, providers and staff.
• Adheres to policies and procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.
