Job summary

Universal Health Services is seeking a Charge Nurse in Amarillo, TX to lead nursing staff and ensure safe, high-quality patient care. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, implement patient-centered care plans, and model service excellence across shifts.

The ideal candidate is an experienced RN with a current Texas license, BLS certification, and a commitment to ongoing professional development within Northwest Texas Healthcare System.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
• Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s).
• BLS from the American Heart Association (or obtained during orientation) and maintain certification throughout employment
• Current state nursing license or permit to practice nursing in the State of Texas.
• De-escalation training within 90 days of hire; does not require maintaining
• Ongoing compliance with demonstration of clinically pertinent competencies as determined by the facility.

Responsibilities

• Assumes shift responsibility and accountability for planning and provision of direct and indirect nursing care.
• Coordinates multi-disciplinary team members and directs and facilitates nursing staff.
• Supports activities that meet the facility vision, mission and goals.
• Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
