Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
• Current state nursing license in Texas (RN).
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• De-escalation training within 90 days of hire.
• PALS within 12 months of hire; maintain certification.

Responsibilities

• Assumes shift responsibility and coordinates nursing care for patients and families.
• Directs and facilitates nursing staff to achieve safe, optimal outcomes.
• Develops and evaluates age-appropriate care plans using the nursing process.
• Ensure safety, investigate issues, and comply with standards and policies.
• Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.

Education
