HMR Veterans Services in Amarillo, TX is seeking a Charge Nurse to supervise daily nursing activities and ensure high-quality resident care in accordance with regulations and nursing leadership.

You will oversee admissions, staffing, care plans, and coordinate with families and physicians while maintaining a respectful, patient-centered environment.

Experience: minimum one year supervisory in healthcare; active LN license; rehabilitative nursing knowledge; strong communication in English.

Competenze

• Nursing degree and an active, unencumbered state LN license.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.
• Familiar with long-term care laws and guidelines.
• Strong communication skills in English; able to read, write, speak effectively.
• Leadership and interpersonal skills to guide staff professionally.

Mansioni

• Supervise daily nursing activities to ensure high-quality resident care.
• Oversee admissions, discharges, and room transfers; communicate with families and funeral homes as needed.
• Monitor staffing levels and participate in evaluations and supervision of staff.
• Maintain accurate nursing notes and ensure care plans are followed.
• Notify families and physicians of significant changes and address concerns per procedures.
• Lead orientation and in-service education; ensure PPE and infection control practices.
• Provide direct nursing care as needed and monitor residents with physicians.
