Northwest Texas Healthcare System in Amarillo, TX is seeking a Charge Nurse to lead nursing teams and ensure high-quality patient care. The RN will coordinate care, develop plans, and support safety and service excellence within a multi-disciplinary environment.

Required BSN or enrollment with 2-year completion, Texas license, BLS, and 1+ year acute care or 3 years part-time experience; de-escalation training is required within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program; BSN required or to be completed within 2 years.
• Current state nursing license or permit to practice in Texas.
• Current BLS certification from American Heart Association upon hire or within 30 days.
• Minimum of one year full-time or three years part-time experience in acute care; supervisory experience preferred.
• De-escalation training within 90 days of hire.
• Must pass pre-employment assessments.

Responsibilities

• Assumes shift responsibility for planning and provision of direct and indirect nursing care.
• Coordinates multi-disciplinary team members and directs nursing staff to achieve safe, optimal outcomes.
• Develops and evaluates age-appropriate care plans using the nursing process and patient education.
