Job summary

Northwest Texas Healthcare System in Amarillo, TX is seeking a Charge Nurse to assume shift responsibility for planning and directing nursing care. You will coordinate a multi-disciplinary team and lead nursing staff to ensure safe, effective patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
• Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment.
• BLS from the American Heart Association (or obtained during orientation) and maintain certification throughout employment
• Current state nursing license or permit to practice nursing in the State of Texas.
• De-escalation training within 90 days of hire; does not require maintaining
• Ongoing compliance with demonstration of clinically pertinent competencies as determined by the facility.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide direct and indirect nursing care to patients and families.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary team members and provide leadership to nursing staff.
• Maintain a safe environment and ensure patient safety and privacy.
• Support service excellence and alignment with facility vision and goals.
