Job summary

Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare in Tallahassee, FL seeks a healthcare finance professional to ensure correct insurance authorizations and billing. You will work with RN/Nurse Manager and providers to secure scheduling accuracy, order entries, and activations, while reviewing denials with Patient Financial Services and maintaining charge master integrity.

The role requires 2+ years in healthcare finance or billing, with strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred Education: Associate degree in a finance- or health-related field.
• Required Experience: Two (2) years of healthcare finance, authorization, reimbursement and/or billing experience.
• Preferred Experience: Two (2) or more years of clinical experience; MS Office knowledge including Outlook, Excel, Word, Access.

Responsibilities

• Ensure insurance information and authorizations are accurate for appropriate billing.
• Partner with RN/Nurse Manager and referring providers to ensure accuracy of scheduling, lab order entries, and activations.
• Review denials and prepare appeals for correct reimbursement with Patient Financial Services.
• Collaborate with Finance and Charge Capture to ensure the charge master is accurate and up to date.
• Analyze daily reports to ensure optimum workflow and communicate issues and changes to end users.

Responsibilities

Your Role:

• Responsible for ensuring insurance information and authorizations areaccurate for appropriate billing.
• Works in partnership with the RN/NurseManager and referring providers to ensure accuracy of scheduling,laboratory order entries, and activations.
• Works in partnership with PatientFinancial Services (department 8221) in reviewing denials and preparingappeals for correct reimbursement.
• Works in partnership with Finance(department 8211) and Charge Capture (department 8243) to ensure thecharge master is accurate and up to date.
• Analyzes and audits daily reportsto ensure optimum workflow; communicates with end users to identifyissues and recommend workflow changes.
