Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare in Tallahassee, FL seeks a healthcare finance professional to ensure correct insurance authorizations and billing. You will work with RN/Nurse Manager and providers to secure scheduling accuracy, order entries, and activations, while reviewing denials with Patient Financial Services and maintaining charge master integrity.

The role requires 2+ years in healthcare finance or billing, with strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Education: Associate degree in a finance- or health-related field.
Required Experience: Two (2) years of healthcare finance, authorization, reimbursement and/or billing experience.
Preferred Experience: Two (2) or more years of clinical experience; MS Office knowledge including Outlook, Excel, Word, Access.

Responsabilités

Ensure insurance information and authorizations are accurate for appropriate billing.
Partner with RN/Nurse Manager and referring providers to ensure accuracy of scheduling, lab order entries, and activations.
Review denials and prepare appeals for correct reimbursement with Patient Financial Services.
Collaborate with Finance and Charge Capture to ensure the charge master is accurate and up to date.
Analyze daily reports to ensure optimum workflow and communicate issues and changes to end users.
