Job summary

Jobot in Washington, DC is seeking a Fund Controller to manage the full financial lifecycle of a portfolio of venture funds, from partnership accounting to monthly close.

You will prepare LP communications and fund-level reporting, acting as a trusted operator that GPs lean on, with a preference for candidates with startup experience. Bachelor's in Finance or Accounting required; 5–9 years VC/PE/fund admin; CPA/CMA a plus; hybrid/remote; equity options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• 5–9 years of relevant VC/PE fund or Fund Admin experience.
• Previous startup experience is required.
• CPA or CMA certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the full financial lifecycle for venture funds, including partnership accounting and monthly close.
• Lead LP communications and fund-level reporting; act as a trusted GP partner.

Job Details

We're looking for a Fund Controller who can run the full financial lifecycle of a portfolio of venture funds: from partnership accounting and monthly close to LP communications and fund-level reporting. You won't just maintain the books, you'll be a trusted operator that GPs actually lean on.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• 5-9 years of relevant experience from a VC/PE fund or Fund Admin
• Previous experience from a startup is required
• Desire to work in entrepreneurial small business setting
• CPA or CMA certification is a plus
