Jobot is seeking a Fund Accounting Manager to lead private equity fund operations and mentor a growing accounting team in the NY market. This role oversees LPAs, financial reporting, waterfalls, and IRR calculations while maintaining exceptional client service and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Previous experience leading private equity fund accounting teams.
• Experience overseeing LPAs and fund structures is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily fund operations with Directors/MDs.
• Independently manage accounting and operations for PE funds.
• Serve as primary client contact with limited oversight.
• Analyze LPAs and governing documents to summarize key economics.
• Supervise and develop accounting team members.
• Oversee capital calls, distributions, financial statements, waterfalls, IRR.
• Review and approve fund deliverables prior to senior leadership review.
• Perform complex analyses of financial reporting and private equity transactions.
• Support onboarding of new client fund structures.
• Drive process improvements and efficiency initiatives.
• Ensure high-quality client service and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with stakeholders on fund reporting matters.

Job Details

• Partner closely with Directors and Managing Directors to oversee daily fund operations
• Independently manage accounting and operational activities for private equity funds
• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients with limited oversight
• Analyze Limited Partnership Agreements (LPAs) and governing documents to summarize key economics and fund structures
• Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting team members
• Oversee preparation and review of capital calls, distributions, financial statements, waterfalls, IRR calculations, and related deliverables
• Review and approve fund deliverables prior to senior leadership review
• Perform complex analyses of financial reporting, capital events, and private equity transactions
• Support onboarding and setup of new client fund structures
• Drive process improvements and operational efficiency initiatives
• Ensure delivery of high-quality client service and regulatory compliance
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on fund reporting matters
