Job summary

Brixey & Meyer is seeking an Outsourced Accounting Manager for our CFO Services team in Columbus, OH. You will oversee multiple client engagements in construction, real estate and consumer sectors, directing Seniors and Accountants, while delivering outsourced accounting and interim Controller services.

You'll mentor staff, manage client relationships, and help drive practice development. Expertise in QuickBooks Online and ERP systems is required, with strong accounting and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; master’s degree or continuing coursework preferred.
• CPA or relevant certification preferred.
• 2+ years of managerial or direct supervisory experience.
• Advanced computer literacy, including proficient use of Microsoft Office.
• Experience or interest in leveraging automation or AI-based tools.
• Valid driver’s license and transportation to client sites up to 1 hour from the home office location.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
• Desire to contribute to our unique company culture and have fun with work.
• Process oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
• 5+ years of qualified work experience based in public accounting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple client engagements and manage a team of Seniors and Accountants.
• Provide CFO Services including outsourced accounting and interim Controller roles.
• Coach and mentor staff; manage client relationships and practice development.
• Meet annual budgeted billable hours and drive operational efficiencies.
• Become an expert in QuickBooks Online and other ERP systems used by clients.
