Job summary

CBIZ Talent Solutions is seeking a CFO for a growing law firm on Long Island. This onsite role will lead the firm’s financial operations, strategy, and reporting, partnering closely with leadership to drive performance and efficiency.

The ideal candidate has CFO or senior financial leadership experience within a law firm, strong knowledge of legal billing systems, and a hands-on leadership approach to manage three direct reports while balancing strategic and day-to-day responsibilities.

Qualifications

• CFO or senior financial leadership experience required within a law firm.
• Strong knowledge of legal billing systems and law firm financial operations.
• Experience managing multiple direct reports (3 direct reports in this role).
• Hands-on leader capable of balancing strategic and day-to-day responsibilities.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and process improvement skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Finance and oversee all firm financial operations and staff.

• Oversee collections, receivables, payroll, and pension administration.
• Partner with external accountants on tax planning and compliance.
