Overview: A well-established company based in Hauppauge, NY is seeking a full-time Controller to lead its accounting operations and elevate the finance function. This role will be instrumental in maintaining financial integrity, cleaning up legacy processes, and building a high-performing accounting team. The ideal candidate is hands-on, strategic, and ready to take full ownership of all core accounting responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, month-end close, and financial reporting
• Prepare and manage timely, accurate bank reporting and internal financial statements
• Drive cleanup of existing processes and implement efficient, scalable accounting workflows
• Evaluate and restructure the current accounting team as needed, including hiring, coaching, and performance management
• Ensure ongoing compliance with GAAP and internal control standards
• Partner with leadership to support strategic decision-making and financial planning
• Utilize SAP for all financial operations and reporting

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Controller or senior accounting leader in a mid-sized or growth-oriented company
• Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls
• Advanced proficiency with SAP
• Demonstrated success in process improvement, team building, and change management
• Ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a hands-on role
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Must be able to work onsite full-time/hybrid in Hauppauge, NY
