Job summary

Gilder Search Group partners with a well-established commercial real estate firm on Long Island to identify an experienced Controller to lead the finance team and drive accurate financial reporting. This is an in-office, Long Island, NY position where you will work closely with a tenured CFO in a collaborative environment, making a meaningful impact on the business.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in accounting/finance, real estate experience, and MRI Software proficiency; public/private

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• Commercial real estate accounting experience required.
• Strong experience with MRI Software.
• Cash management and cash forecasting experience.
• Deep understanding of the general ledger, month-end close, and financial reporting.
• Experience building and improving reporting processes and internal controls.
• Previous leadership experience managing a small accounting team (3-4 professionals).
• Public accounting experience combined with private industry experience is highly preferred.
