Job summary

Century Group, in partnership with a prominent client, seeks a Chief Financial Officer to lead the financial strategy and oversight for a growth-focused organization in Los Angeles.

You will mentor finance and accounting teams, drive budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, manage liquidity and partnerships, and develop models to support revenue planning, profitability, and strategic decisions in a litigation-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive financial leadership experience.
• MBA, CPA or other advanced financial credential preferred.
• Familiarity with litigation funding and case cost financing is a plus.

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $200,000 to $300,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead the overall financial strategy and provide guidance to executive leadership on business growth, profitability, and long term planning initiatives.
• Oversee accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and compliance activities.
• Develop financial models and analyses to support business decisions, revenue planning, and operational performance.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, including senior level finance or accounting responsibilities.
• Prior leadership experience within a law firm environment, preferably supporting plaintiff side or personal injury practices.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, cash flow management, budgeting, forecasting, and regulatory compliance.
• Previous experience working with contingency based revenue models, trust accounting, and legal industry financial operations.

Qualifications

• MBA, CPA, or other advanced financial credential preferred.
• Familiarity with litigation funding, case cost financing arrangements, and related financial structures.
• Prior experience scaling finance operations, building processes, and supporting business expansion initiatives.
• Strong leadership, communication, and relationship management skills with the ability to advise partners and executive stakeholders.
• Proficiency with accounting, legal practice management, and financial reporting systems, including platforms commonly used within law firms.
