Job summary

JGM seeks a skilled CWI Inspector to join our growing team. You will inspect raw materials, in-process work, and finished products for conformance to drawings and codes, using precision measuring tools and welding standards.

You will verify quality at all stages, maintain inspection records, support audits, and coordinate with other departments to resolve issues. A strong eye for detail and commitment to safety are essential. The role may involve travel to field sites and facilities.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of welding symbols and inspection tools.
• Proficient reading of blueprints and printed materials.
• Basic math, geometry and trigonometry skills.
• Familiar with FCAW, SAW, GMAW and GTAW welding processes.
• Able to document inspection activities during fabrication/welding.

Responsibilities

• Conduct layout inspections and measure with precision instruments.
• Verify quality at incoming, in-process, and final stages.
• Visually inspect welds, bolts, coatings, and assemblies against drawings.
• Maintain inspection records and calibration logs; resolve issues with departments.
• Support operator training on measurement and processes; assist audits.
• Review quality-related POs, reports, and testing requirements.
• Develop procedures and corrective actions; enforce non-conformance protocols.
• Liaise with outside inspectors and assist with field resolutions.
