Job summary

Bureau Veritas seeks a qualified Welding Inspector (CWI/SWI) to oversee on-site quality assurance during construction and inspections. The role requires strong communication with project managers, fabrication shops, and contractors, plus willingness to travel for 1–2 weeks as needed.

The ideal candidate holds AWS CWI or Senior CWI, may have NACE/AMPP Level II, and can read complex designs. You will document findings using Word/Acrobat and maintain client relationships.

Qualifications

• AWS CWI or Senior CWI is required.
• Ability to read and interpret complex fabrication plans.
• Experience with document control and reporting tools.
• Willingness to travel for site inspections.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Project Managers to define scope, deliverables, schedule, and budget.
• Communicate with fabrication shops, contractors, BV staff and third parties to resolve issues.
• Maintain timesheets, expense reports and inspection reports; use Word/Acrobat.
• Ensure services align with project requirements and the client contract.
• Travel to sites for 1–2 weeks as needed; support remote, on-site, and BV office work.
