Job summary

Bureau Veritas is seeking a Certified Welding Inspector to perform on-site inspections and QA for a client during construction. The role requires strong communication with project managers and third parties, plus the ability to manage reports and travel expenses efficiently.

The ideal candidate must hold an active AWS CWI (or Senior CWI) and can read complex fabrication plans. The position supports remote, on-site, or office-based work and emphasizes client satisfaction and quality control.

Qualifications

• Current/active AWS Certified Welding Inspector or Senior CWI is required.
• Reading and interpreting complex design and fabrication plans to support QA.
• Willingness to travel 1–2 weeks and manage expense reports.

Responsibilities

• Communicate project requirements, scope, deliverables, schedule, and budget with project managers.
• Coordinate with fabrication shops, contractors, BV employees, and third parties to resolve issues.
• Ensure services meet project requirements and client contracts.
• Prepare and submit reports (timesheets, billing, expenses, inspection reports) via Word/Acrobat.
• Maintain positive relationships among Bureau Veritas, facilities, and clients.
• Work remotely, on-site, or at BV offices as needed.
