Job summary

Bureau Veritas is seeking a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to support quality assurance for a client project in Bainbridge, GA. The role involves on-site inspections during construction and ensuring compliance with project requirements.

Candidates must have a valid AWS CWI certificate, be able to travel 1–2 weeks, pass background and drug screening, and communicate with Project Managers, fabricators, and contractors. Proficiency with MS Office and Adobe Acrobat is required.

Qualifications

• Current/active AWS CWI or Senior CWI certification is required.
• NACE/AMPP Level II is preferred.
• Non-Destructive Testing Level II or III is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Project Managers to define work orders, scope, deliverables, schedule, and budget.
• Communicate with PMs, fabrication shops, contractors, BV employees, and third parties to resolve issues.
• Generate and submit timesheets, billing reports, expense reports, and inspection reports on time.
• Travel as needed; cover 1–2 weeks; cover lodging, meals, flights, and car rental.
• Perform inspections on-site and ensure work adheres to project requirements and client contracts.
