Job summary

TEAM Industrial Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to perform quality control and code-compliance inspections on welded components across field and shop environments.

You will verify weld quality, review WPS/PQR/WQTR, and coordinate with NDT personnel for UT/RT/MT/PT testing while interfacing with client QA/QC teams to resolve issues. This role requires travel and a strong safety-first mindset.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; technical degree or military experience a plus.
• Active AWS CWI certification is required.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screening and obtain TWIC/DISA credentials.
• Familiarity with code books: AWS D1.1, ASME IX, B31.3, API 1104.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to interface with multi-level stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel, work extended hours, and operate in field environments.
• Safety-first mentality and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual welding inspections in accordance with AWS D1.1, ASME IX, API codes or project criteria.
• Review welding procedures (WPS), PQRs and welder qualification records (WQTR).
• Monitor welding activities to ensure adherence to procedures, standards, and client specs.
• Coordinate with NDT personnel to support UT, RT, MT, PT testing.
• Generate inspection reports, weld maps, and deficiency logs as required.
• Witness welder qualification tests and maintain continuity logs.
• Interface with client QA/QC personnel, fabricators, and engineers to resolve issues.
• Adhere to Life Critical Expectations and site safety protocols.
• Uphold TEAM standards of professionalism, integrity and quality.
