Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for Clermont Hospital to support the operative team by preparing sterile instruments, supplies and equipment. The role focuses on aseptic technique and collaboration with the surgical team to ensure efficient, safe procedures.

The position requires an allied health credential in Surgical Technology and current certification options such as CST, NBSTA, TS-C or NCCT, with BLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or equivalent in Surgical Technology is required.
• Must be certified by one of CST, NBSTA, TS-C, or NCCT (NCCT required).
• BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides instruments and supplies to the surgical team during the procedure and maintains aseptic technique.
• Prepares, maintains, and organizes sterile supplies and instruments for the procedure.
• Provides complete case preparation with the ability to adapt to special instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Assists with pre and post procedure cleaning of the operative room and instruments.
• Prepares and performs surgical skin prep and clipping as indicated by procedure.

Education
