Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health at Clermont Hospital, Ohio, seeks a Non-Certified Surgical Technologist to assist the surgical team by preparing sterile instruments and supplies and maintaining aseptic technique.

The role includes case preparation, instrument organization, and assisting with pre/post procedure cleaning. A High School Diploma or GED is required; an Associate degree or vocational/military certification is preferred. BLS is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree, vocational cert, or military cert in Surgical Technology required (Ohio L&D unit exception applies).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides instruments and supplies to the surgical team during the procedure and maintains aseptic technique.
• Prepares, maintains, and organizes sterile supplies and instrument for the procedure.
• Provides complete case preparation with the ability to adapt of special instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Assists with pre and post procedure cleaning of the operative room and instruments.
• Prepares and performs surgical skin prep and clipping as indicated by procedure.
