Job summary

Mercy Health’s Lourdes Hospital is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to aid the operative team by preparing sterile instruments and supplies and maintaining aseptic technique. The role requires readiness to support the surgical team throughout procedures.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate/Vocational/Military certificate in Surgical Technology, and CST/NBSTA/TS-C or NCCT certification, with BLS preferred. Experience in perioperative settings is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree, Vocational Certification, or Military Certificate in Surgical Technology (required).
• BLS – American Heart Association (preferred)
• Must be certified by CST, NBSTA or TS-C; NCCT (required).
• One year of perioperative, operating room, or related military surgical technology experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provides instruments and supplies to the surgical team during the procedure and maintains aseptic technique.
• Prepares, maintains, and organizes sterile supplies and instrument for the procedure.
• Provides complete case preparation with the ability to adapt of special instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Assists with pre and post procedure cleaning of the operative room and instruments.
• Prepares and performs surgical skin prep and clipping as indicated by procedure.
