Responsibilities include instrument handling, particle counts, patient positioning, and maintaining compliance with infection control standards and documentation. 0–2 years OR experience preferred; CST and BLS required.

Qualificações

• 0–2 years of operating room surgical technician experience required.
• Graduate of a Surgical Technology program or Practical Nursing program.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and maintain the sterile field and ensure proper setup of instruments and supplies.
• Anticipate surgeon needs and pass instruments efficiently during procedures.
• Maintain sterile technique and comply with infection prevention protocols.
• Assist with patient positioning, draping, and transfer under RN direction.
• Restock supplies and prepare rooms for subsequent cases to ensure OR efficiency.
• Document counts of sponges, needles, and instruments with the circulating nurse.
• Maintain physician preference cards and procedural documentation.
