Qualifications

• CST - Certified Surgical Technologist required
• BLS - Basic Life Support required
• 0-2 years operating room surgical technician experience required

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room with instruments, equipment, and supplies per procedure and physician preference.
• Maintain a sterile field during procedures using aseptic technique.
• Anticipate surgeon needs and pass instruments and supplies accurately and efficiently.
• Handle instruments and equipment per manufacturer instructions and hospital policy; assist with inspection and cleaning.
• Document sponge, needle, and instrument counts with the circulating nurse for patient safety.
• Assist with patient positioning, draping, and transfer under RN direction.
• Maintain physician preference cards and procedural documentation for accuracy.
• Restock supplies and return equipment to storage areas; prep rooms for subsequent cases.
• Perform additional duties as assigned and maintain regular attendance.
