Job summary

UCHealth Parkview Medical Center in Pueblo, CO is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to join the Surgery team. You will perform as a proficient scrub tech across multiple service lines and support instrument handling, sterile technique, and patient safety.

The role requires CST certification (NBSTSA/ NCCT), BLS, and accredited Surgical Tech training; you may precept others and adapt quickly in a busy OR environment. Full-time hours, days shift, with a competitive hourly pay.

Responsibilities

• Performs first scrub role independently in multiple service lines.
• Understands and uses instrumentation and equipment properly and works with service specialist to improve surgeon preference cards.
• Able to precept other staff in the scrub role.
• Demonstrates ability to apply and enforce principles of sterile technique throughout surgical procedure, maintain sharp safety, ensure medication safety on the surgical field, competence in surgical counts, anticipate surgeon's requests on assigned surgical procedures.
• Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
