Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or GED or be military trained.
• Registration as a State Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist is required.
• At least 6 months of Surgical Tech experience or graduation from an accredited program is needed.
• Must have BLS certification valid for at least 60 days after hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surgical operating suite with necessary instruments and supplies.
• Assist in pre-operative and post-operative care of patients.
• Pass instruments to the surgeon during procedures.
• Account for instruments and supplies during surgery.
• Process specimens for laboratory delivery.
