Job summary

Boulder Centre for Orthopedics & Spine is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the OR team. You will prepare and maintain sterile fields, assemble instruments, and provide intraoperative support to surgeons and staff in a fast-paced orthopedic setting.

The role requires a graduate of an accredited surgical technology program with Colorado CST and BCLS certification, plus at least one year of OR scrub experience; ambulatory surgery experience is preferred. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology.
• Current Colorado CST and BCLS certification required.
• One year of operating room scrub experience required.
• Previous ambulatory surgery experience preferred.
• Ability to maintain sterile field and protect patient privacy.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe patient care during surgical procedures.
• Plan, prepare, and assemble sterile supplies and instruments for surgeries.
• Handle sterile surgical instruments to maintain a sterile field.
• Set up operating rooms based on physician preferences and optimize workflow.
• Protect patient privacy and uphold HIPAA standards.
• Assist in surgery and postoperative tasks as needed.
• Communicate effectively with the surgical team and other healthcare professionals.
• Stay informed about advancements in orthopedic surgical technology and participate in ongoing education and training.
